News Girl Claire is the voice of authority on Radio Aire Breakfast and has all the news and sport for Leeds every morning

News Girl Claire is originally from Hertfordshire and came to Leeds in 2002 to study at Leeds University.

Since travelling up the A1, she's never looked back and Claire now describes herself as an honorary northerner!

Claire's first stint at Radio Aire was in 2007 and after a brief spell at that other station in Leeds, she returned to Burley Road in January 2011.

When Claire's not reading the news and sport she's making the most of the city, enjoying a stroll around Kirkstall Abbey or having a cold beer in Millennium Square on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

Delivering the news about the city she loves is just the cherry on the cake!
