Darren Proctor (DP to his friends) has enjoyed a colourful career over the last two decades.
After early spells as a milkman, followed by a short time as an apprentice electrician he landed his dream gig in radio and has never looked back (or wired a plug since!).
He says: “Radio helps me escape from the pressures of real life. I get to play my favourite records and talk to new people every day. When I’m in that studio, everything else melts away; it’s just me and the listeners sharing our day together.”
In his spare time Darren enjoys playing football, squash, golf and going to “The Darravan” – his family’s holiday chalet in Abersoch, North Wales.
Here are Darren’s answers to your quick-fire questions:

Q3: If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Q4: Do you have any strange rituals which you must do before you start a show?
A4: “I have to have a pen in my hand!”
