Forward Ladies in the City at BIBIS

A glitteringly, glamorous women’s networking event hosted by Bibis and Forward Ladies, raised £225 for Cash for Kids.  The Sex and the City themed evening brought together forty businesswomen with some of Leeds’ finest and most glamorous retailers and services – including Dawn Stretton, Russo, Firenza, The Hemingway Club and Juvel Jewellery – to do business in one of Leeds’ most iconic restaurants, Bibis Italianissimo.

“The evening was a great way to make business contacts into friends” said Ros Raine, Cash for Kids charity manager  “whilst raising much needed funds to help disadvantaged children living in Leeds and West Yorkshire.”

Guests – all members of Forward Ladies business network - enjoyed the Bibis ‘VIP’ treatment with Cosmopolitan cocktails on arrival, Italian canapés, themed cupcakes by Propermaid and a surprise performance by Leeds’ violinist and international entertainer Alexandra Parker.  Photographer Olivia Brabbs was on hand to capture the event.

Luxury prizes were donated to raise money with a charity raffle - many thanks to everyone who donated including HOB Salon Leeds, Latitude Wines, Turner's Florists, Leeds Gift Book, Bibis, Firenza, Leeds Grand Theatre and many more.

Mandy Barwick, PR&Marketing Manager for Bibis Italianissimo said “This has been the first Forward Ladies event at Bibis, and I am delighted to say that it was an outstanding success.  We now look forward to staging many more events throughout the year and how we can work closely with both organisations”

Etta Cohen, the original Forward Lady quoted:

“This was a great, fun evening in aid of a really good cause – Radio Aire’s Cash for Kids.  Forward Ladies has helped raise thousands of pounds for charities over the past ten years, but if we can have some fun and a great night out while we’re raising cash, then everyone benefits.  Forward Ladies supports members and their businesses throughout the north, with more than 300 events a year, running everything from serious training workshops, to trade missions to high level speaker events, but we also like to have fun, and Bibi’s was just the place to hold such a fabulous charity evening with a nod to the glamorous and sassy ladies in the Sex and the City movie.”

Thank you to BIBIS Italinissimo and Forward Ladies for supporting Cash for Kids.
